Cooker & Hob Installation
Connecting a gas cooker or hob is gas work, and by law it needs to be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Heat-tecNE installs and connects gas cookers and hobs safely, checks the connection for leaks, and makes sure the appliance is working correctly before finishing the job.
Whether you're replacing an existing appliance or fitting a new kitchen, we make sure the installation is done properly and signed off correctly.
This includes disconnecting and removing an old appliance if needed, fitting the new cooker or hob, and testing it thoroughly once connected. We work around your existing kitchen layout, whether that's a straightforward swap or part of a wider kitchen fit.

Can I install a gas cooker myself?
No. By law, any gas work, including connecting a cooker or hob, must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Do you install both freestanding cookers and built-in hobs?
Yes, we install both, connected safely to your existing gas supply.

Gas cooker & hob installation
Cooker Installation. Need a new gas cooker fitting? No problem, as a gas safe registered engineer, we'll safely install your new free standing cooker, range cooker or hob for you at the highest standards and at competitive price. A certification will be issued for peace of mind.
Installation process. On some installations of new or existing gas cooking appliances, we find that some pre-existing gas pipework may need to be replaced or upgraded in order to bring it up to current safety standards. In these circumstances, we would charge a small fee for the additional materials and work required. We will of course, clearly advise you of any charges in advance.
Minimum requirements. Please note: there must be existing pipework in place and the property must have a gas meter.
Customer can supply the new gas hose, bayonet fitting if required and stability chain if required, otherwise we can supply at additional cost.
